An amazing experience.
We had wonderful 3 days in London, in this nice apartment just near Hyde Park.
The location was perfect (near the subway station), the apartment was very good.
Nothing to complain!
But I just want to thank Edem for being awesome!
We had big problems because my dad forgot his diabetes pills at home.. in Italy!
We were lost and hopeless, but thanks to Edem, we had emergency supplies from the hospital.
He saved our holiday! And not only..
Thank you, really.
Very nice flat with good location close to everything you want to see in London. The flat was located on a little nice street with a pub, corner shop and bakery, very nice. Few minutes walk from Paddington Station, there are restaurants and supermarkets there.
We stayed at this place for 5 nights. Very tiny place, beds was too narrow for two people and the access was from a very nasty cluttered parking. There was a kitchen and/or restaurant upstairs that was very noisy up to the middle of the night. Dishes were cracked and there was some used sugar and rice and expired cooking oil from previous users. Sheets were not so clean and there was some towel that doesn’t seem good. We don’t like it at all.
+ Location is comfirtable since it's near Overground station. From doorstep it takes 30 to 40 mins to stand next to Big Ben.
+ Three bedrooms were nice for 3 couples.
+ We got keys without problems.
-We didn't realize this apartment has no livingroom what so ever. If you plan to use all bedrooms and spend some time in the apartment, look elsewhere!
- Kitchen has room for three or max four.
At the time we were in this place, there was ongoing renowation upstairs, which made the Place look unattractive outside. This I guess is fixed by the end of the summer 2015.
Good stay in this small flat located in a very quiet street. Very convenient location close to the tube and bus lines. Correctly fitted and clean. My only negative comment: the kitchen of a restaurant is opening in the same court and the evening is fairly noisy, mainly when they clean and dispose the empty bottles...good attention from the tennant.
Great value for money in that location. The flat is small but has everything you need. Edem is was friendly and helpfull. I would book again.
The only positive about our stay was the location, beautiful neighborhood and 5 min walk to bus stop and Lancaster Gate station. The guy that would let us in the apartment, opened a door that led to a parking full of junk and from there the door to the apartment. Small, poorly decorated with used supermarket items left there from previews tenants. There was a problem with the pressure of the water in the shower so we needed the double amount of time to have a shower. No windows, just a spot with glass on it to look like a window and a rusty dirty blind. I find the top reviews for this place very odd.
In general the place was clean, and the heat was fine, we were kept very warm. The owner was polite and helpful and assisted us for something we asked. However, we have visited London many times and we consider this stay was budget at it's best, we paid less for better accommodation, so for its state it was overpriced. Of course this is subject to taste, but personally we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or visit again, this are what reviews are for anyway.
We really appreciated the flat for a family of 5: good sleeping and cooking facilities, enough space for five (except for having dinner), access to TV and WiFI, easy check in and out conditions.
However, there is room for improvement:
-The kitchen is a little small for 5 people (we could squeeze around the table but could hardly move then)
- A proper shower would be more convenient in the bathroom which could be renovated
- A lamp would be handy in the living room whan used as bedroom
Anyway, we would recommend the flat which is very well located to get to Central London and pleasant to stay in. Though we didn't meet Edem, he was friendly on the phone and easy going as for checking so that we could make the most of our stay.
Apartment was easy to find, not far from Lancaster Gate subway station. We were a bit earlier then expected, so we had to make a phone call to Edem, which was answered very quickly and we could get into the small, but nice apartment.
There were some restaurants etc in the neighborhood, but haven't actually walked around, so I don't know what there was.
We slept there half dec.
We were a group of 4, two slept on the bed and two on the couch. There's a fridge where we could put in breakfast and drinks. TV was good, wifi worked really good. There is heating, Edem explained how to turn it on and off. Shower was abit hard to figure out, but leaving it on between 6 and 5 was the right temperature for the winter. Towels were provided.
Restaurant on the second floor, but we didnt really had much trouble with the noise. After 10/11 pm the noises stop.
Very near Hyde Park, which was really nice. Walking from Marble Arch to Lancaster Gate was longer then I originally thought :D but subway is easier.
Me and my family stayed 4 nights at Edem place. It was perfect. We had a 1year old baby and Edem added a baby cot. Also we could cook, all necessary kitchen tools were available. The courtyard is shared with a restaurant but the few noises stop around 11pm. It was not a problem at all.
I recommend it ! It's safe, clean and confortable place ;)
